Competition day

On competition day there’s a lot happening. Tjing takes care of most of it, but there are still a few things you should review and configure to keep everything running smoothly.

Check-in

If you’ve enabled check-in times, you can track players’ check-in status on the Players page in the manager. If someone forgets to check in—or if you want to check them in yourself—you can do so directly there. If you haven’t set a specific check-in time, you can manually mark players as checked in on the Players page when they arrive on site.

Missed check-in

Check-in is only a supporting feature. Players can still take part in the event even if they haven’t checked in.

Starting formats

Confirm that you’ve selected the correct starting format for your rounds.

• Tee-time starts and shotgun starts behave differently when creating and assigning groups. Make sure you’ve set the right format before starting.

Scoring method

Choose and confirm your scoring method: verifier, signature, group scoring, or none.Double-check your settings and make sure players know how scoring will work to avoid confusion.

Preparing round 2

• If you’re not using pools, you can prepare groups for round 2 at any time. To sort players by previous results, you’ll first need to close round 1.
• If you’re using pools, you can reshuffle once all pools in the previous round are completed. You can also prepare a future pool in advance, but this will only consider players from the same pool in past rounds.
