PDGA Event Sync

Disclaimer

The PDGA event sync is the first of its kind, made possible through a partnership between PDGA and Tjing. Please read through the information below and contact us if you have any questions.

Scope & Background

Tjing and PDGA share a common goal: creating the best possible experience for both Tournament Directors and players. As part of that effort, we have been working together on an initial technical integration to begin that journey.

The first version of this integration is one-way, allowing Tjing to send registrations and round results directly to PDGA. This removes the need to manually import registrations and results into the PDGA Tour Manager.

For players, this means results can appear in PDGA — including PDGA round ratings — shortly after scorecards are submitted in Tjing.

The integration also reduces the amount of manual work required in the PDGA Tour Manager when finalising the event report. You can still make manual changes in the Tour Manager at any time if needed.

All sanctioned A, B, and C-Tier events, as well as L-Tier leagues, can benefit from this integration.

Availability

Currently, this integration is only available for events hosted in Sweden. We hope to expand availability as soon as possible.

Get Started

  1. In your Tjing Event Settings, open the Sanctioned tab.
  2. Select the appropriate PDGA tier and enter your PDGA Event ID.
  3. Enter your Tour Manager password.
  4. If the password has access to the event, you will see a success message.
  5. Before the competition starts, make sure your layouts are connected to a PDGA Course. Read more below.
  6. That’s it — the sync is now set up.

What Happens Now?

Once enabled, Tjing will automatically send the full player list to PDGA whenever a player registers or cancels. This ensures the registration list in PDGA stays up to date.

Because the full player list is synced automatically, manual changes made directly in PDGA may be overwritten the next time Tjing sends an update.

If you need to make manual adjustments in PDGA, first disable the automatic sync by removing your Tour Manager Password from the settings page.

Before the event starts, make sure the Course Layout Status is green for each round. Otherwise, automatic score syncing will not be possible.

Delay

It can take up to 30 seconds for a player to appear in the PDGA registration list.

Connect Your Tjing Layout to a PDGA Course

For scores to sync automatically, the layout(s) being played must be connected to a PDGA course. This can only be done for official course layouts — custom layouts are not supported. The connection must be made by the Course Guardian.

To connect a layout, the Guardian should open the layout settings and search for the correct course in the PDGA Course Directory.

This only needs to be done once per layout. Future competitions using the same layout will sync automatically.

During the Event

Player scores are automatically uploaded when scorecards are submitted in Tjing or when the Tournament Director closes the round.

You are still responsible for verifying DNF/DNS codes and finalising the event report in the PDGA Tour Manager.

You can continue making manual changes in the Tour Manager as needed. However, if the event is still ongoing and the Tjing sync is enabled, manual changes may be overwritten by subsequent sync updates.
