Uploading to the PDGA

Automatic imports

Currently the PDGA does not allow third-party platforms to automatically upload results. To make it as easy as possible, Tjing provides Excel files with the player data (names, results, division etc) for you to import to the PDGA Manager. This process takes just a few minutes.

Overview

The PDGA provides guidelines on how to upload players and results based on their TD Report spread sheet.

Mobile, Tablet & Laptop

All steps can be accomplished with a mobile device, although the smoothest experience would be with a larger device such as a tablet or laptop.

Step-by-step

  1. Export the data from Tjing.
  2. Open the exported file in your preferred spreadsheet application.
  3. Log in to the PDGA Tournament Manager and head to the Upload section.
  4. Copy the relevant columns, such as player details and division from the Tjing Export.
  5. Paste the information into the text area in the Tournament manager.
  6. Follow the PDGA instructions to match the uploaded data.
  7. Confirm and submit the import.

What to upload

  • Before the events starts: Players' names and divisions.
  • After a round or event has finished: Results.

Player upload: In the Tjing event manager, go to the players page, and under utilities there is a player export. This Excel file contains all the data you need for the initial upload to PDGA.

Result upload: In the Tjing event manager, go to the _results _page and then to the export tab. Choose to download the entire event results or individual rounds/pools.

How to upload

We will use the same process as described in the PDGA Tour Manager help sections, but when referencing the TD Report, we instead use the documents exported from Tjing.

If you are familiar working with the PDGA TD Report you can instead use the Tjing exports to populate the information in the TD Report and then submit that as you are used to.

You can follow the instructions from the below links:

Player import: Upload Player Data - Basics

Results import: Upload All Round Scores

TIP

Please note that for the result import you will need to update any players who are marked as DNF in the Tjing export with the correct code in PDGA, e.g. 888 or 999, depending on the type of DNF.
